Yukon River Drainage Fisheries Association is pleased to host the first virtual Yukon River Symposium on February 16-17, 2023. This symposium will bring organizations and presenters from throughout the entire watershed in Alaska and Canada.
Researchers, Yukon River community members, Regional and Local ecosystem managers, and anyone interested in the topics of science, fisheries, traditional ecological knowledge, and research are all invited to attend this free-to-attend symposium.
The symposium will conclude with all researchers and local traditional knowledge keepers to begin the development of a protocol of ways to encompass traditional knowledge and western science into future research projects with the potential of assisting with management strategies.
